About Info

Ms. Albita Kurian joined the Department of Social Work as a faculty member in July 2025. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Work with a specialization in Medical and Psychiatry from Loyola College, Chennai. Her professional journey began as a Medical Social Worker at Smrthi Healthcare, Chennai, where she played a key role in multidisciplinary coordination, neurodevelopmental assessments, community outreach, and providing psychosocial support to families. In addition, she contributed to the organization of several national academic conferences in pediatric rehabilitation. Alongside her clinical role, she also served as the Centre Administrator, managing administrative operations, overseeing client services, and supervising staff activities.
